Filming Underway On Season Three Of Poldark

Filming is underway on the third series of BBC One's eighteenth century drama Poldark.

Nine new episodes have been written by Debbie Horsfield and each installment will be produced by Mammoth Screen.

Filming will take place across Cornwall and Bristol, including the Bottle Yard Studios. The series will be broadcast on BBC One in 2017.

Writer and executive producer Debbie Horsfield says: "We're thrilled to be kicking off series three with a fantastic array of new characters and a story which scales new heights of conflict, feuding, passion and drama. Ross is older but not necessary wiser, and his recklessness sometimes costs him, and his loved ones, dear. We're in for a rollercoaster ride where the stakes have never been higher."

Poldark is adapted by Debbie Horsfield and produced by Roopesh Parekh and Michael Ray. It is directed by Josh Agnew and Stephen Woolfenden. Mrs Horsfield continues to serve as executive producer alongside Tom Mullens, Karen Thrussell and Damien Timmer for Mammoth Screen and Elizabeth Kilgarriff for the BBC.
