BenQ Launches New 27" Video Post-Production Monitor

News Image
BenQ has launched a new 27" monitor to meet the needs of video post-production professionals who also need to edit still images.

Uncompromising colour performance and calibration tools ensure the PV270 is suited for users that require reliable colour throughout their workflow.

With the BenQ PV270, the 100% coverage of the Rec. 709 and 96% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, ensure the output for high definition television and digital cinema matches the required colours. The 99% Adobe RGB coverage encompasses most of the colours producible for photography professionals.

The PV270's approach to colour management helps ensure colour is reproduced consistently throughout the video post-production workflow. From the rough-cut phase, through to effects, colour correction, and compositing, to the output stage, colour is rendered accurately so the intended results match.

Technicolor Color certified, the monitor meets the strict colour standards for Hollywood, the broader media and entertainment industries. The 2560 x 1440 (QHD) resolution delivers a crisp picture quality expected for close reviews and detailed editing.

With a 14-bit 3D Look Up Table, professionals are able to display the most accurate colour mixture. It also improves the RGB colour blending accuracy. GamutDuo enables users to view video simultaneously in different colour spaces side-by-side for added comparison convenience and reliability.

Key features of the BenQ PV270 include:

• 5-year warranty with zero pixel defect guarantee for the first six months

• 27"W Large Screen 2560 x 1440 QHD Resolution

• 100% Rec. 709, 96% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 99% Adobe RGB and IPS Technology

• Hardware calibration with 14bit 3D LUT

• Palette Master Colour Calibration Software included

• Brightness uniformity

• Backlight sensor

• Color Display Clone

• Technicolor Color certified

• Monitor hood included

This is the fourth instalment in BenQ's range of colour critical monitors. Other monitors include the PV3200PT (32"), SW2700PT (27") and the PG2401PT (24").
