'Man Dancin' nominated at Raindance Film Festival
'Man Dancin', a new Scottish movie featuring former 'Eastenders' star Alex Ferns has been nominated for Best UK Feature Film at London's Raindance Film Festival.
Ferns gives a stunning performance as reformed hard man Jimmy Kerrigan, who, after nine years in jail, comes home to his old patch to make a new start. But when the local priest asks him to play Jesus in the annual Passion Play, he sets in process a whole train of events which will change his world forever.
The hugely experienced cast also includes Tom Georgeson (A Fish called Wanda, Land Girls) Kenneth Cranham (Two Men Went To War) and James Cosmo (Braveheart, Trainspotting).
Man Dancin' is directed by Emmy and BAFTA award winning director Norman Stone and produced by Ray Marshall. The screenplay is by Sergio Casci.
Man Dancin' is due to be released in February 2004.
