Murraypro At NAB

News Image
In addition to the new model of their popular Test Chest, Murraypro will also be unveiling two brand-new products "TV Eye" and "Jitter Mon" in the North Hall at NAB which will be shown with preproduction livery due to tight show deadlines.

Murraypro have always ensured that their equipment is exhibited working under realistic conditions, so that Show visitors get a genuine demonstration of what they can expect when it is used in their own environment.

"TV Eye" is an ultracompact A+V tester intended for portable use evaluating SDI signals in the field; it sports a 3.5 inch LCD panel, is housed in a stout alloy case, Li-Po powered, and can be very comfortably held in one hand. "TV Eye" incorporates eye pattern envelope, jitter waveform analysis, with conventional WFM and vector monitoring and a picture monitor mode that can incorporate histogram metering as well. A pair micro-sized stereo speakers carry de-embedded audio for presence of audio confirmation but a 3.5 mm stereo jack, with loudspeaker muting, is available for headphone use. Like our other Murraypro products "TV Eye" powers-up virtually instantly, and will display a stable signal within one second of switching on!

"Jitter Mon" is intended for use in small mobile vehicles where it provides confirmation of Conformance with SMPTE's jitter requirements. The unit can be used rackmounted in a 2U slot or freestanding, and is normally run from a 12 V supply however it too incorporates a Li-Po battery pack for use in external power is not available. "Jitter Mon" uses the same monitoring engine as "TV Eye" so the features provided, including the amazing instant power up, are essentially rather similar. The use of a slightly deeper case permits the use of compact, but wide frequency range stereo loudspeakers which give a good account of themselves. As with 'Eye, a high quality headphone outlet is provided for personal monitoring in noisy environments. A USB port is provided on the rear panel for LCD screen capture and remote control.

Visitors to the show will be able to evaluate the new model "Test Chest HDVI" which supports virtually the same facilities as the earlier "3G", but which now offers additional features. Tri-level sync generation, IP & OP computer display ports,16 audio channel histogram, SDI error logging, LCD screen capture and remote control are all incorporated in the new unit which visitors are invited to explore on Stand N4619. Pleasingly, and with all these new features, Murraypro have been able to maintain the same attractive price point for the new model.
