Viability of DTS demonstrated at Bowie concert

DTS recently demonstrated the unique advantages of its DTS Digital Surround audio format in providing common, high-quality, multi-channel audio for emerging DVB an digital cinema technologies with the successful transmission of David Bowie’s Riverside Studios concert in 5.1 multi-channel sound to cinemas in Paris and Zurich.
Broadcast live on September 8, the event demonstrated DTS’ end-to-end solution for alternate E-cinema programming, exploiting the latest developments in DTS digital broadcast and digital cinema technology to deliver the highest possible, 96 kHz 24 bit, audio quality in a cinema environment.
