Matthew Bristowe Joins One Of Us

Soho based VFX studio, One Of Us, have announced the appointment of Matthew Bristowe as Head of Production and Operations.

Announcing the appointment, One of Us Company Director, Rachael Penfold, said: "We are all delighted that Matthew is now one of us. He understands the creative drive which is at the heart of our business, and we are looking forward to developing and growing with the benefit of his skill, experience and sensibility."

Matthew joins from Prime Focus World, where, as Snr. VP of Production, he managed both the VFX and stereo 3D output for the London Office, overseeing VFX production for the studios' feature projects, including Hercules (MGM) and Kingsman: The Secret Service (FOX). In addition he was also responsible for the growth and development of the global 3D conversion business, managing key projects such as Gravity (WB), Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt 2 (WB), Guardians of the Galaxy (MARVEL) and Maleficent (DISNEY). With a production career that started at MPC, Matthew has a vast slate of feature films to his credit including; Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire, Wes Anderson's Fantastic Mr Fox and Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes.

Matthew said: "I have always respected the team at One of Us and the exceptional work they produce. It's a privilege to be part of them now and a hugely exciting start to 2016."

This appointment coincides with One of Us celebrating the first year in their new home, a brand new beautifully designed studio. Still in Soho, the new creative space is in RathbonePlace and covers 4400 square feet, providing more artist seats and boasting a state of the art screening room with Baselight and Christie projection.

The company have been steadily growing since their launch in 2006 and have amassed an impressive credit list of film, television and commercial projects, most recently; The Revenant (New Regency), Everest (Universal Pictures) Jupiter Ascending (Warner Bros.), Under The Skin (StudioCanal), The Monuments Men (Columbia Pictures), Cloud Atlas (Warner Bros.), Tree Of Life (FOX Searchlight) and Terminator Genisys (Paramount Pictures).

Co- founded by Tom Debenham, Dominic Parker and Rachael Penfold, One Of Us is an essential studio for visual effects and related work. Their ethos is one of creative intelligence applied through filmmakers' sensibility, with a focus on design and collaboration.

Rachael Penfold added: " We are in the fortunate position to have played a part in some wonderful projects and feel honoured to be working with outstanding filmmakers who look to us for our unique creative and collaborative approach."

Amongst other projects, One of Us is currently working on Tim Burton's 'Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children', Terrence Malick's 'Voyage of Time', and NETFLIX's 'The Crown'.
