Irish shorts on the festival circuit

Irish short 'Meeting Che Guevara & the Man from Maybury Hill', which won the Best Short Film Award at the Temple Bar Diversions festival, has been selected to screen in competition at the Palm Springs, Stockholm and Calgary Film Festivals over the coming weeks.
The award-winning short has also recently been acquired by the Sundance Channel in America and CBC in Canada.
Another Irish short, 'Martin', directed by Imogen Murphy, has been selected for competition at this years Milan Film Festival and is the only Irish film in competition at the festival this year.
Martin was funded by the Irish Film Board under the Short Shorts scheme and produced by James Watson at Celtic Mouse Productions. Che Guevara & the Man from Maybury Hill, funded under the Short Cuts Scheme, was directed by Anthony Byrne and produced by Igloo Films and Martin.
