News Image
A new music and comedy show has been announced for Sky 1.

Bring the Noise, will see Kaiser Chiefs' Ricky Wilson as host, while Nicole Scherzinger and Tinie Tempah have been named as team captains. Comedian Katherine Ryan, meanwhile, has been confirmed as a regular panellist on the show.

The mid-week comedy-entertainment series will include live musical performances, celebrity guests and comedians. Ricky will oversee proceeding as host, with Nicole and Tinie heading up two teams of three. Guests will take part in rounds involving music trivia questions, games with musical set pieces, while the final round of each show will see the teams compete in a musical performance battle.

Bring the Noise is due to transmit in the autumn.

Adam MacDonald, Director of Sky 1, said: "This is a truly unique format with top quality music guests at its heart. It continues our commitment to ambitious, new, fresh entertainment that viewers can only experience on Sky 1.

"I'm thrilled that Ricky is joining us as host in an all-time first for him. To also welcome Nicole back to UK screens and to be the format that tempts a man of Tinie's calibre, while uncovering Katherine Ryan's extraordinary comedic musical talent, is fantastic. The mix of music, comedy and entertainment makes it the must-see family show of the autumn."

"Bring the Noise is our new show on Sky 1. Nicole, Tinie and Katherine are all completely brilliant and ridiculous in equal measure. I'm no stranger to music based TV shows with a competitive element, but this is taking music TV to another level. Swing by the off licence, phone for a takeaway, and settle in with Bring the Noise," added Ricky Wilson.

The eight-part series was created by Twenty Six 03, a new production company founded by Duncan Gray, who is Executive Producer. Antonia Hurford-Jones is also Executive Producer for Twenty Six 03, with Celia Taylor and Richard Ackerman, Head of Non-Scripted Commissioning and Non-Scripted Commissioning Editor for Sky.

The series will be series produced by Chris Little (A League of Their Own, Saturday Night Takeaway) and directed by Stephen Stewart (Don't Forget Your Toothbrush, TFI Friday, Jimmy Kimmel Live).

International distribution will be handled by Sky Vision which will be launching the format at MIPCOM in October.
