DVS add new features to CLIPSTER

Since its unveiling at NAB 2003, DVS has further redefined the real-time HD editing-workstation CLIPSTER, and new features have been implemented.
After this year’s IBC DVS will start worldwide shipping of the system. In Amsterdam CLIPSTER was shown with an open-interface for plug-ins.
“We believe that modern platforms must be open for any application and not dedicated to just one. Users need a platform to handle editing, compositing and effects, supplying all the tools needed to complete the project. We designed CLIPSTER with this need for flexibility in mind,” commented Hans-Ulrich Weidenbruch, Managing Director of DVS.
"In line with this philosophy, the workstation supports compositing with Adobe After Effects, discreet combustion and Digital Fusion. The open plug-in interface, too, facilitates cooperation between DVS and other manufacturers," he said.
