Murraypro Announce Two New Products For IBC

News Image
Murraypro will be unveiling two exciting new products at IBC in Hall 8.
Their popular Test Chest receives a make over, and now gains the capability of interface directly with HDMI display ports on external devices.

"We have been aware that Installers and System Integrators have been seeking an additional A+V mode that would extend testing capability to PC display ports. With this in mind, our Design Team has redesigned Test Chest 3G's present SDI Input and Output interfacing to embrace PC and Display port capability too. The all important base band analogue capability has not been sacrificed, as it is absolutely vital for swiftly resolving Reference Sync and Composite Video issues. Our new Model has combined all these desirable features in a single, compact unit," said Murraypro CEO Tony Drummond-Murray.

Industry standard Display connectors adjacent to the present BNCs interface these additional digital input and output Display ports. PC display standards supported are biased more towards Users within the TV industry, and consequently we have christened these new ports our 'High Definition Video Interface'. As with the current model, where the Video + Audio Generation and Analysis capability are completely independent, the new interface maintains independent input and output ports which will function simultaneously too.

In fact Murraypro's unique "Which-Wire?" mode our completely automatic Source detection and identification capability, which has always been a major feature of Test Chest, has now been extended to embrace these HDMI inputs too. We are extremely proud of our "Which-Wire?" mode as it now automatically detects, and pre-selects the appropriate monitoring mode to optimally display SDI, CVBS, Tri-Level, Comp Sync, Embedded audio, AES3 and now HDVI; any of these sources in around 1 second and with the input Standard declared on a banner too – utterly amazing!

Many of the other Test Chest features have been enhanced too, including the performance of our unique TDR cable testing Utility. Now for example, the performance of installed coaxial cables up to 180M may be investigated even more thoroughly, as additional display gain is available to identify return loss issues.

We have managed to maintain the same Test Chest case profile whilst squeezing in these extra features, the result is an identically sized and priced product.

Murraypro also announce "Jitter Mon", a compact Unit less than 200 mm wide and 88 mm high that monitors the overall jitter performance of an outgoing SDI feed to ensure conformance with System specifications.

"Jitter Mon" can be used either free standing, or rack mounted in 2U, and answers the prayers of Operators furnishing feeds to a central Complex, from a mini-OB or Satellite truck, who are contractorally required to conform with the strict FCC requirements. In addition, the Unit displays "Eye" shape, Jitter WFM, and a TV picture mode too, with Audio or Jitter histograms; additionally compact stereo monitoring is provided on loudspeakers which are muted when headphones are jacked in.

These products will be demonstrated in a working environment at IBC, on the Murraypro stand B:38G in Hall 8.
