Focus Enhancements FireStore FS-3 supports PAG batteries
Focus Enhancements, a worldwide leader in video production and conversion technology, have announced that its latest FireStore FS-3 disk recorder now supports popular PAG battery systems.
Owners of PAG-equipped DV camcorders can now mount the FireStore FS-3 directly to the rear of a camcorder and take advantage of its time saving features based on FOCUS Enhancements' Direct To Edit Technology (DTE).
"There has been tremendous interest in the FireStore FS-3 product from the European broadcast community," said Matt McEwen, product manager for Focus Enhancements. "By adding support for an industry leading battery company in Europe such as PAG, we are adding the flexibility our customers need to maximize the benefits of our disk-based recording technology."
Nigel Gardner, Sales Director of PAG, said: "We are very pleased that Focus Enhancements has introduced a version of the FireStore FS-3 DV disk recorder for owners of the PAG battery system.
"Our customers can now take advantage of the unique DTE Technology in the Firestore FS-3 which trims precious time from the video post production process."
Like other FireStore models, the PAG-compatible FireStore FS-3 is based on FOCUS Enhancements' DTE Technology - the only available solution that allows video, audio and timecode to be recorded directly to disk in native file formats to removable FireWire disk drives.
DTE supports NLE file formats such as DV-OMF for Avid Xpress DV, QuickTime for Apple Final Cut, AVI 2 for Adobe Premiere, Canopus AVI, Matrox AVI and many more. Recording in native NLE file formats allows video professionals to eliminate the need to capture, transfer, or convert files before editing - saving an estimated 25+ hours each month.
Additional removable FSHDD-1 FireWire disk drives are available as accessories from Focus Enhancements and range in capacity from 40GB to 80GB.
FireStore was on display at the International Broadcasting Convention 2003.
