Chyron’s 8-Channel Aprisa RePlay features stills and clips

Chyron have announced the international launch of RePlay, the next generation Aprisa multi-channel clip and still store at IBC 2003.
According to Chyron, RePlay provides unprecedented SDI I/O capacity with independent video and key outputs and control for stills and clips.
Fully-integrated functionality allows stills and clips to be played out independently or digitally layered together inside the box.
RePlay provides up to 8 channels of 25 or 50 Mb/s stills and/or clips in DV or MPEG-2 format for superior video compression. Both FILL and the KEY have full bandwidth resulting in high performance video graphic playback and compositing.
Included is Aprisa’s data-base functionality which enables multiple search modes and fast access through an intuitive GUI. The RePlay networking capability and the Aprisa Director software enables any number of units and channels to be centrally controlled. RePlay may also browse and utilise Chyron Lyric CG messages which creates a powerful environment for creating, storing and playing out graphics.
“The Aprisa RePlay has been built on a core foundation of a very mature product line that has been field-tested for over seven years,” said Mark Rivers, who leads the Aprisa product development team. “We have added new features such as the ability to support DV25, DV50, and MPEG-2 clip formats and lowered the price of the overall product, plus made the digital I/O standard and not an expensive option.”
More information on the Aprisa RePlay can be found on the Chyron website at www.chyron.com
