Pharos introduce Pilot MCR broadcast system controller

Pharos Pilot MCR makes its first European exhibition appearance at IBC 2003 in September.
Unique in allowing complete desktop control of broadcast equipment, it builds on the reputation of the Pilot RT router controller which is in successful use by major broadcast service providers.
Pilot MCR enables non-engineering staff to operate and monitor an entire broadcast network. Events can be managed live or prescheduled.
Based on standard low-cost computer platforms, it allows network infrastructure to be supervised and routed using easily-understood graphic displays. The need for device-specific hard-wired control panels is reduced or eliminated. Switching and control can be performed immediately via touchscreen or standard computer mouse and keyboard.
All major third-party broadcast systems can be interfaced to Pilot MCR, including remote cameras, lighting, ingest line switchers, local routers, graphics origination, VT and server-based archives, post-production studios, dubbing facilities, monitoring and transmission.
Pilot MCR also integrates easily into other Pharos broadcast tools.
