DPS Launches Cinema Division

Lighting and production company DPS Inc. has announced the launch of its cinematic services division, DPS Cinema.

DPS Cinema's Enhanced Environments extends the sightlines of live sets using media (LED, projector, etc.) to integrate through proprietary controls on as large a scale as needed, while also allowing talent and crew to visualize actual environments instead of green screen. Enhanced Environment options include Vehicular Amplification, Set Extension and Mediated Reality.

DPS Cinema is also a principal supplier of LED lighting solutions for green screen and blue screen. Productions include Gone Girl, Fifty Shades of Grey, Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Nightcrawler, Inherent Vice and more.

DPS has also announced Bobby Finley III as VP of Cinema Technologies. Mr Finley's credits include a 20-year tenure at Industrial Light and Magic working with George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg on Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back. Finley has also lent his talents to films such as the Men in Black franchise, Forrest Gump, The Matrix Trilogy, Jurassic Park: The Lost World, and others.
