Eyeheight To Demo Master Control Equipment At Broadcast India

News Image
Eyeheight is to demo its modular range of broadcast master control equipment at Broadcast India in Mumbai, October 15-17. The company will be represented at the show by its reseller for the Indian subcontinent, Cinecita.

"The Eyeheight master control system is based on two of the best-selling elements in our modular hardware range, the MW-2EM video and audio mixer and DK-2M downstream keyer," comments Sales Director Martin Moore. "These combine to form a switching and presentation system which is reliable, compact and very user-friendly.
"Up to three mixing and keying systems can be housed in a single FB-9E smart chassis which can be fully controlled from the front panel, via GPI/RS232/RS422 local network or fully IP-based remote control.
"Our MCR system has proved highly popular among broadcasters throughout the world, not least in India where its ease of installation and straightforward control menu are particularly appreciated.
"The same menu, based on four easy-to-read self-legending pushbuttons, is used across all modules in our extensive geNETics product range. It is a very easy control routine to learn and provides precisely the information an operator or engineer needs to know to perform a specific function."
The MW-2EM is a multi-rate (SD/HD) video A/B mixer with an integral 16-channel embedded audio mixer. It features an internal matte and black generator. Voiceover can be added to the embedded audio stream via the AES digital audio input. The MW-2EM integrates with Eyeheight's range of manual control panels and with the established PresTX. Audio channels can be selectively spliced, enabling Dolby E audio cut compatibility. Features include mix, wipe, V-fade and U-fade transitions. 20/24 bit audio mixes follow video. Auto transitions and manual T-bar control can be performed using a VP-10 module.
Eyeheight's DK-2M is a downstream linear keyer for 1080i and 720p, 625 and 525 operation. It incorporates all facilities needed for generating matte overlays and enables overlays to be located anywhere on the video display, either as a solid image or transparent. Fill and key inputs with adjustable horizontal timing are provided, as well as matte generators, wipe, independent main and preview keyers and EDH reinsertion for the main output. Key on/off plus six user-definable control sequences are accessible via an integral GPI interface card. Designed for local, remote or automated control, the keyer incorporates programme and preview outputs and is designed for easy HD-SDI and SD-SDI connectivity.
