Media 100 open new 844/X Soho facility

Media 100, a leading provider of advanced media systems, has announced the opening of a new showcase facility in Soho - at the heart of the UK's broadcast and production community.
The office at 22 Soho Square is planned to open at the end of August and will highlight the Company's award-winning 844/X real-time vertical editing system.
The prestigious central-London office will be the home of dedicated sales and technical teams as well as a fully equipped 844/X demonstration suite.
Editors and production facility personnel will be able to see the speed and power of 844/X in a relaxed environment with industry experts on hand to answer questions and put the system through its paces.
"Media 100 has sold many 844/X systems in London and this, in turn, is creating quite a buzz within the media community and driving an increasing number of editors and producers to want to see 844/X in person," said John Molinari, president and chief executive officer of Media 100. "With our new facility in Soho, the Company, working closely with our valuable channel partners, will be able to increase the quantity and quality of face time with end users and build on the inroads 844/X has established in the broadcast and post-production markets."
In addition, The Media 100 Soho Square office will facilitate the growing training and development requirements of editors and operators by launching a free 844/X certified training programme. This will take the form of an intensive one-day training course in the new Soho facility that will take trainees through the operation of 844/X, allowing them to better exploit the integrated editing and compositing capabilities of the system and feeding the growing demand for freelance 844/X operators in London.
With over 550 editing installations in London, more than 100 of which are in Soho, Media 100 has built a strong and loyal user base at the centre of the UK's broadcast and post-production industry.
