DVS to present new real-time solutions

At Siggraph 2003 DVS will be showing further developments of the on-set capturing system DVS CineControl and the powerful real-time editing workstation Clipster at booth no. 3315.
New software and extended features guarantee creative and efficient work with formats from SD to 2K. Like on all DVS systems the clips stay in their original uncompressed formats.
The portable digital film capturing system DVS CineControl stores uncompressed HD data from any professional HD camera in real time. At Siggraph, the German company will present a touch screen user interface for the first time. In addition a remote control unit facilitates control of the system from up to 300 meters.
The real-time editing system Clipster enables the user to work with clips of different resolutions on one timeline. It combines the project material regardless of its resolution, color space or bit depth. The workstation processes uncompressed data in resolutions of up to 2K in real time, enabling the editor to receive instant feedback on the quality of his work. The output format from SD to 2K can be selected at any time. In the development of the user interface, the DVS team focused on the ergonomics to give the editor room for the creative process. Using the Windows file system, Clipster is an open platform for any popular effects software.
