Clearmountain capture Hallyday with SSL and Le Voyageur

Internationally acclaimed recording mixer/producer Bob Clearmountain recently got behind the controls of the SSL MT+ console installed in Le Voyageur V1 mobile to record a live broadcast featuring French superstar, Johnny Hallyday.
Clearmountain recorded the four special shows that took place at the Parc Des Princes stadium in Paris, with 60,000 fans attending each night. On the final night, French broadcaster TF1 transmitted a live prime time television programme accompanied by audio mixed by Clearmountain on the MT+ whilst recording. The MT+ was used to record and mix signals from approximately 72 stage microphones and pre-mixes, plus 20 audience microphones. Over 300m of fibre link was used to capture the concerts, which were recorded onto a ProTools 64 Mix+ system while being backed up to two Sony DASH 3348HR recorders, with a Tascam MX2424 capturing the audience mics. Clearmountain was delighted with the results achieved, stating that the MT+ and Le Voyageur were a winning and extremely efficient and versatile combination.
