Network Electronics' routes signals throughout Spanish Senate

Canal Senado, the Spanish Senate's newly launched channel, officially debuted on May 1, furnished with the latest cutting edge video equipment to deliver broadcast quality programming.
Sr. Javier Sensat, CEO of Network Electronics Spain, announced that the channel's routing and distribution needs are being fulfilled with a Network Electronics router system.
Designed and installed by systems integrator TSA, the system is comprised of VikinX 64x64 and 32x32 SDI, PAL and analogue audio routers and several control panels. Components of the system are located in various TV production rooms throughout the facility. It is configured to capture, record and distribute all audio and video sources originating from the Senate's Main Chamber as well as annexes such as Salón de Plenos or Sala de Comisiones and several pressrooms and cubicles.
Canal Senado facilitates the production of broadcast quality programming that combines footage generated internally with external video feeds. Sessions can be broadcast live or delayed and archived content is available to broadcasters or news agencies on demand. Canal Senado can be accessed via Hispsat satellite and is also available to local Spanish broadcasters upon request.
TSA, a business unit of Telefónica S.A. and provider of telecommunication services on a national and international level, also recently supplied Network Electronics routing equipment to the football team Real Madrid for their stadium video installations.
