Digital Media World widen programme

This October, Digital Media World and LEAF, the London Effects and Animation Festival, are offering more content, a broader programme and wider networking opportunities for the European digital content creation and management communities.
Event organiser Advanstar Communications have announced that they are partnering with Townhouse Media, publishers of CGI Magazine, Creation, C3 and Broadband, a collaboration that will bring new elements such as Internet, future applications and industrial design as well as strengthen the showcase for visual effects, animation and games.
The event has new dates and a new venue. The Digital Media World exhibition and LEAF will take place October 9-11 at the contemporary Business Design Centre in Islington. The prestigious LEAF awards ceremony will take place on Thursday October 10 at a London venue to be announced.
New to the programme is The CGI Product and Technology Awards, in which readers of CGI Magazine will vote for the hottest and most innovative products of the year and the winners announced as part of the LEAF awards. The 3D Design Conference in association with C3 Magazine will run alongside LEAF, featuring presentations and discussions led by key speakers drawn from high profile industrial design consultancies, architectural practices and design-focused universities.
