Eon Media focus on future after management buy-out

Hull-based multi-media production company Eon Media has completed a management buy-out from US parent The Fort Dearborn Company.
Award-winning Eon Media, which specialises in video, 2D/3D graphics, CD-ROM, web and DVD production, will remain based at their Thomas Street headquarters in East Yorkshire.
Steve Forster, formally Financial Director at Fort Dearborn Company and now Owner/Director at Eon Visual Media said: “Eon has been focusing on different markets from Fort Dearborn Company for a couple of years now, and as FDC are focusing more on their core activities of print and global graphics management, it was mutually decided that allowing us to fulfil our potential as a separate organisation was the best way forward.”
Matt Dass, Head of Eon Media, added: “We’re working in markets that demand quick reactions to new ideas and new technology and we now feel that we’re better able to respond to our customers’ needs and extend to them the levels of service they expect.”
To launch the new company, Eon Media is holding a communication awareness convention, EonCon 2003 at its offices on March 20 2003.
Guest speakers from Smith & Nephew and Reckitt Benckiser will explain how they use communication in their organisations and how partnerships with Eon Media has benefited both parties.
