Espial To Showcase At IBC2013

Espial, provider of TV user experience (UX) solutions, is to showcase its recent HTML5 RDK innovations at IBC2013.
The company will demonstrate the newest Espial STB Client based on RDK, HTML5, and WebKit.
The Espial STB Client demonstration will showcase the cloud UX, based on HTML5 and RDK with an application framework.
Espial promise "an unparalleled user experience with captivating HTML5-enabled interfaces and advanced 3D animation effects such as rubber banding, built into the navigation."
In conjunction with the Espial STB Client, Espial will also showcase the Espial Media Service Platform (MSP). Espial MSP is a headend system with integration, merchandising, multidevice, cloud UX delivery, and TV service management capabilities., including:
• Personalised services and recommendations
• Integration with operator and Web services
• Place-shifting, time-shifting, and favorites across devices
• Defining and delivering service by demographic segments
• Blended TV and social media use cases
The Espial MSP can be customized to support TV Everywhere services by market segments based on region, language, and other requirements. This allows operators to tailor TV channel lineups, pricing models, movies, and services including linear TV, video-on-demand, time-shift television, digital video recording, and pay-per-view for their target markets.
Also at IBC2013 Espial will demonstrate the award-winning Espial TV Browser.
Based on the WebKit rendering engine, the Espial TV Browser is Web-video ready with built-in Adobe® Flash®, and supports more of HTML5 and the latest W3C Web and interactive TV standards than any other commercial browser.
