Kramer launch new 10-bit A-D converter and a Y/C DA

Kramer Electronics UK have launched their new FC-7501 10-bit A-D converter and their VM-100YC Distribution Amplifier at the Production Show, Olympia on stand 225.
“If you need to convert Composite Video, YC or YUV whether in PAL or NTSC to SDI, then the FC-7501 is the machine for you," said Mike Roberts, Technical Manager Kramer Electronics UK.
The FC-7501 automatically recognises the input standard. The analogue inputs can be looped to another FC-7501 or other Kramer machine, and the SDI signal is distributed to two separate re-clocked outputs for additional flexibility. Many aspects of the operation of the machine such as contrast saturation and hue can be adjusted via the RS-232 port using the software provided.
“The FC-7501 A-D converter is the perfect companion to the already successful SD-7401 D-A converter and the FC-4045 transcoder. With this machine, Kramer have answered the demands of our customers,” said Roberts.
The FC-7501 retails in the UK for £499 + VAT.
Kramer Electronics UK also launched the new Kramer VM-100YC high quality 1x10 distribution amplifier for Y/C (S-Video) signals.
The VM-100YC accepts one input and distributes the signal to 10 identical outputs using four-pin connectors. The looping output can be used as an 11th output in some applications, or can also be used to create larger systems. The VM-100YC operates stand-alone, or is the perfect companion to other Kramer products like the VM-1110xl audio DA.
The list price for the VM-100YC is £249 + VAT in the UK.
“The VM-100YC is a great solution for systems with S-Video sources, such as VCR’s and cameras”, states Nigel Hodgson, Kramer UK’s Managing Director. “It is ideal for schools, churches, retail operations, point of purchase systems, duplication applications, production applications and more.”
