The Matrix reloads with Avid
The European headquarters of Avid Technology have announced that several of their customers used Avid film and video editing, audio, and animation solutions to complete the highly anticipated Warner Brothers feature film, 'The Matrix Reloaded.'
Customers also used Avid products for the creation of the accompanying video game developed by Atari and Shiny Entertainment, 'Enter The Matrix,' and a DVD package of nine animated short films 'The Animatrix.'
Products used include Avid Film Composer, Avid|DS, Avid Unity MediaNetwork, Avid Xpress DV, Digidesign Pro Tools HD, ProControl, Control|24, Softimage|XSI and Softimage|3D systems.
The various customers pieced together complex scenes, from fight sequences to massive car chases, using Avid solutions to edit picture and sound, as well as pre-visualise and create effects for the film, game and DVD.
