Creative Skillset CEO Awarded CBE
Creative Skillset's CEO, Dinah Caine OBE, has been honoured with a CBE in the Queen’s 2013 Birthday Honours list.
The honour has been bestowed in recognition of her services to the UK’s Creative Industries.
Stewart Till CBE, Chair of Creative Skillset, said: "Dinah's honour is a testimony to so many things, including her exceptional loyalty to both Creative Skillset and the Creative Industries, and her exceptional ability to get the job done."
Commenting on her award, Dinah Caine said: "I am delighted that the crucial importance of skills and talent development to the success of our Creative Industries has been marked in this way.
"And I am overwhelmed to receive this personal honour and recognition, but you don’t get to lead a great organisation that has helped and supported tens of thousands of creative people in developing their successful careers without a lot of support, for which I am deeply grateful."
Dinah Caine has been Chief Executive Officer of Creative Skillset since 1992. She is a member of the Creative Industries Council (CIC) and Chairs the CIC Creative Skillset Skills Group.
She also currently serves on the Ministerial Advisory Group on Skills and is a member of the National Skills Forum & Associate Parliamentary Skills Group.
Ms Caine is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Television Society for her outstanding contribution to the Television Industry in 2002.
She was awarded an OBE for her services to the media industries in the Queen's Golden Jubilee Honours List in 2002.
