ClipRecorder HD supports Windows Media 9

Drastic Technologies/DVC GmbH have further developed their digital video technology by expanding their support for Microsoft’s Windows Media 9 Series.
This means that at the same time that the ClipRecorder HD & SD, which is based on Drastic’s QuickClip Software, is recording uncompressed media files, automatic proxy generation can simultaneously create compressed Windows Media Video 9 files, providing easy audio and video distribution to media professionals for remote reviewing and editing of digital dailies.
“With this expanded support for Windows Media 9 Series on our uncompressed 8 and 10 bit servers, we are giving our broadcast and production customers increased ability to utilize Microsoft’s extensive back end management tools to which we are directly connected,” explained James Brooks, Manager of Development, Drastic Technologies.
