Playbox Hails 'Successful' BVE Show

PlayBox Technology has reported a "very successful" BVE show, with a record number of visitors.
Ben Gunkel (pictured), UK Sales Director, PlayBox Technology, said: "BVE was immense! It proved to be a great exhibition. As the major UK show for us, it once again kept us busy meeting a wide range of clients from home and abroad. The calibre of visiting customers was excellent with visitors including all the major UK broadcasters.
"This year the interest stretched beyond our traditional channel-in-a-box products, with many visitors coming to talk to our Broadcast Systems Group. Based at our UK office, this has made a huge contribution to the expansion of our business both at home and abroad."
The company was showcasing its full range of channel-in-a-box products, including the new ScheduleBox, a web-based client/server solution for creating and managing advanced schedules for TV channels that use a block-based programme schema.
Operating within a web browser the GUI handles template-based TV broadcast planning, offering straightforward management of single and multiple TV channels.
Playbox says its EdgeBox, offering fully redundant automatic remote playout anywhere via internet, was also popular with visitors. 
Due to the success of BVE, PlayBox Technology is expanding its stand space for BVE 2014 to 84 square metres – a 30-percent increase.
Gunkel comments: "Our increasing stand space reflects the growth of the company and the strength of its products and services. Next year there will be more space to see our latest solutions and for visitors to relax and have a coffee with us."
