Eyeheight report highly successful NAB 2003

Eyeheight have reported an enthusiastic response from NAB 2003 visitors to their expanded product range.
The company's booth, the largest to date, enjoyed high traffic levels throughout the exhibition.
Centrepiece of the Eyeheight product demonstrations was the new IRIS digital vision mixer. Configured with up to 12 SDI inputs for use in compact post-production studios, outside broadcast and mobile production vehicles or wherever space is at a premium, IRIS performs full 10 bit mixing with programmable mix times and automatic or manual transitions. The mixer includes an input synchroniser, plus an internal SDI reference ensuring continued operation in the absence of source signals. Up to eight downstream keyers can be incorporated.
A wipe, edge and matte generator with user-adjustable edges is incorporated. Crosspoints can be controlled by a programme/preset pushbutton panel with T-bar vision mix/wipe. EDH re-insertion is provided on main outputs. AES audio crosspoints can be incorporated.
IRIS handles widescreen and standard aspect ratios and is available for 625 and 525-line markets.
Developed from the field-proven geNETics-based PresTX master control switcher, IRIS is fully compatible with Eyeheight's wide product range and occupies a compact 1U FB-9 Flexi-Box chassis with remote control panels.
A high level of interest was also shown in the expanded presTX fully integrated modular master control system. New features include user-configurable system software, squeezback digital video effects, embedded/AES audio lead/lag (manual or automated); command stacking, touchscreen controller and 1080-line HD compatibility.
Also exhibited, the eyeSight range of digital signal monitoring equipment now includes the AD-2 and AD-2E audio description monitors, PM-2E SDI and embedded-audio programme detector, SD-2 video subtitling decoder and TD-2 teletext decoder. Eyeheight's geNETics digital infrastructure products continues to expand.
New additions announced at NAB comprised the SA-1HD high definition cage/safe area generator, AR-2 aspect ratio converter (the first ARC in the geNETics series) and the OL-2 legaliser market.
