Edifis announce release of Version 6 software

Edifis have announced Version 6 software for their range of disk-based graphics equipment.
Available on all current Edifis products and as an upgrade to existing installations, Version 6 includes new features. These features include: EDL conforming for up to 1200 events; enhanced Pandora colour corrector interface; comprehensive machine control to allow sophisticated acquisition and layback from VTRs; field-based image restoration tools for Scratchbox; and Sting and Brick boot files (factory setups and user configurations) protected from accidental delete commands.
The Edifis product range currently comprises the Brick (single-channel), Sting (dual channel) and PHD (Progressive High Definition) disk digital disk recorders. The StingKey key and fill system, Graduate telecine server plus the Scratchbox (standard definition) and HD Scratchbox (high definition) image repair and scratch removal system, as well as the Gearbox D-1 replacement system for MCR, are also featured.
Edifis was formed in July 1997 and is located at the centre of Britain's Silicon Valley. The company has achieved a reputation for large-capacity uncompressed digital video and audio systems meeting film, post-production and broadcast requirements worldwide.
Edifis hardware and software are independent of third-party computer manufacturers or operating systems, allowing highly reliable products to be produced at cost-effective prices to meet the rigours of outside broadcasting and for on-air transmission.
