Harris Corporation launch NetVX

Harris Corporation have introduced NetVX, an integrated, high-speed network connectivity solution that takes the complexity and cost out of networking.
With its ability to establish links with all packet-based (ATM, IP, and microwave) services and receive satellite signals, NetVX makes it efficient and cost-effective to move media between physically disparate locations.
John Delay, director of DTV Products for Harris Corporation's Broadcast Communications Division, said: "The lack of an effective transport system has kept broadcasters from realising the enormous potential of digital television - for example, the ability to share resources between facilities despite distances and offer dynamic new services.
"Until now, the only response to new protocols, standards, formats and compression schemes has been to add more boxes to already-overly complex hardwired systems."
