The Corona Fastnet Short Film Festival Marketing Awards Announced

The annual Association of Irish Festivals & Events Conference took place November 8th and 9th at the Carlton Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway.
During the conference, winners of The Carlton Best of Festival Marketing Awards were announced, celebrating the best Irish festival’s visual marketing material of the season. These annual awards highlight the quality of the work undertaken by festival committees across the country. In association with Fáilte Ireland and the Gathering 2013, this is where the art, people and business of festivals & events converge.
The Corona Fastnet Short Film Festival took the overall award of the night in the "Best Overall Marketing" category. "We are thrilled to have won this national award, as we were up against stiff competition from the two other short-listed festivals – Cork Mid-Summer Festival and the Waterford Festival of Food. It's great to see a young film festival without a cinema being put on the national festival map. " Said Hilary McCarthy PRO of the CFSFF. Judges complimented their graphic design, consistency and also gave recognition to their PR coverage in the media.
Pauline Cotter, Hilary McCarthy and Helen Wells were on hand to collect the award. There were plenty of celebrations in Ballinasloe on Friday night, following the announcement.
"We’d like to say a big thank you to AOIFE and the Carlton Hotel Group for this fantastic accolade. Sincere thanks and credit also goes to Maria Pizzuti, Jonathan Parsons, Pauline Cotter, Helen Wells, and Maurice Seezer. All of whom helped make this happen."
