New Production Manager For Southern Region Of Creative England

Creative England is expanding its presence in the South of England, recruiting a new member of its Locations and Production Services team to cover the southern region.
Rebecca Snook joined the team on the 1 August and will be providing production liaison and partnership manager support from the north of Oxfordshire to the Isle of Wight, and from Kent in the east to Hampshire’s western border. She will be based chiefly in the British Film Commission office at Pinewood Studios.
Originally from Buckinghamshire, Rebecca has spent the last three years as a Senior Location Coordinator at a London-based commercial locations agency, working with some of the largest production companies shooting in the UK. She has also worked as a freelance Production Assistant, Locations Assistant and Scout.
She will now focus on delivering a locations and production support service for the South region, bolstering Creative England’s aim to offer a single, streamlined service to production companies and crew across all English regions outside London.
"I am thrilled to be back in the Home Counties and look forward to dipping my toes into the English Channel once more," Rebecca Snook said.
Creative England, which opened its doors one year ago in October, has a remit to support productions shooting in the English regions as well as improve the conditions for filmmaking.
To that end, it is working with local authorities, facilities companies, crew and locations to provide an unparalleled source of essential contacts and information for the whole of England outside of London.
Rebecca's appointment comes as the organisation prepares to launch two new databases for all English crew and locations outside London to help bolster the one stop shop service it offers to production companies, thus helping to boost inward investment in the English regions.
Creative England’s locations database so far has around 2,000 locations registered, but is aiming for many more across all the English regions. The service is free for production companies to use and is free to register on.
Local regions benefit from having blockbusters filming on their doorstep, as productions can spend up to £30,000 per day on everything from hotels to props to coffee for the stars. In total, feature films contributed over £1billion to the UK economy in 2011, a record figure.
Creative England would like to encourage people with interesting properties to register on their database. For further information and how to register, visit - Creative England: Locations
