Rushes post new Land Rover commercial

Rushes have completed post on a new commercial for Land Rover.
Frederick Bond of MJZ directed the commercial, based on the urban myth that alligators live in the New York sewers.
The commercial opens on a New York street scene, but with an alligator walking down the sidewalk while bystanders scream and run in all directions. A man in a suit appears and slowly walks behind the alligator, making strange alligator-esque noises, which prompts the alligator to turn and snap aggressively. During this action there are a few vignettes of typical NYC street scenes, a food delivery boy, a group of butchers loading carcasses in to a van and a Chinese man serving at a hotdog stand. As the alligator turns and snaps, the hero very calmly grabs hold of him and drags him single-handily down the sidewalk and round the corner, where he pushes the alligator down the drain, without so much as breaking into a sweat.
The man then walks across the street and gets into his Land Rover, after which the Land Rover tag line, 'Been anywhere interesting lately', appears on screen.
Rushes Inferno expert, Bill McNamara said: "This commercial was shot in LA with the streets dressed to look like New York. One of our tasks was to add New York City skylines to some of the shots, to help with the claustrophobic feel of New York. In this beautiful crafted commercial our main task was to help with the placement of a live alligator in the street scenes. In every shot, but one, rigs on trainers guiding the gator down the street where removed. In the final gator shot where the gator is pushed down the sewer an animatronics gator was used and we had to extend the tail of the gator around the sewer entrance to create the seamless allusion of it disappearing down the sewer. Apart from this use of the animatronics gator, it was not needed, as the live one behaved impeccably! It was a fantastic commercial to work on as it was such a great idea, that was beautifully directed, shot and edited."
