Exponential-e To Provide Temporary Canada Gate Media Facility

Exponential-e Ltd, one of the UK’s most innovative broadcast technology providers has announced it is working with The Royal Parks to provide a temporary media and broadcast facility at Canada Gate in The Green Park.
Due to road restrictions in the area this summer, the Canada Gate facility provides the only opportunity for broadcasters to film live with a view of Buckingham Palace.
In the midst of all the sporting action, Canada Gate provides a very British backdrop combined with broadcast technology.
Exponential-e will provide a number of temporary positions with high-speed IP distribution and contribution feeds into BT Tower and other contribution points. Global viewing figures are expected to exceed 5 billion during this exciting summer of sport; with the increase in secondary screens, smartphones and tablets making live screening popular.
Demand for the site from global broadcasters is high. Mukesh Bavisi, Managing Director, Exponential-e, comments: “We have a strong pedigree in providing broadcast IP networks for major global and national live events, with Exponential-e having designed and delivered hundreds of broadcast networks. We’re delighted to have been selected for this broadcast platform and are looking forward to working with major broadcasters once more to facilitate the opportunity to film live during this period with this iconic backdrop.”
Exponential-e will be leveraging its Layer 2 100GigE Ethernet network to provide the connectivity – ideal to ensure low jitter and packet loss.
The positions will be available as a fully managed broadcast facility with all equipment available to international broadcasters on a permanent, eight hour, four hour or hourly basis in HD and SD, with 24 hour on-site support.
