CNBC opt for Leitch NEO platform

Leitch Technology have announced that CNBC have purchased 65 channels of Leitch's premier modular platform, NEO, along with Leitch's CCS-Pilot software application for advanced configuration, control and monitoring.
NEO and Pilot will be installed in the CNBC's newly constructed world headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.
The massive, state-of-the-art facility, dubbed 'the electronic Wall Street of the world' by CNBC, will initially occupy 300,000 square feet, with an additional 200,000 square foot expansion planned.
At the heart of CNBC's multimillion-dollar facility will be a high-tech newsroom capable of monitoring the global economy by capturing real-time data from 44 financial markets around the world.
Steve Fastook, vice president of advanced technology and project manager for the new CNBC World Headquarters, said: "CNBC are designing a facility that minimises physical control panels and hardware. With Leitch's Pilot software application, we will have all the tools necessary to configure, control, monitor and secure access to Leitch and third-party equipment on our network, no matter how geographically dispersed."
