Disney Boss Quits After Big Budget Losses

Disney boss, Rich Ross, has quit after the film John Carter became one of the company's biggest flops.
Ross, the head of Disney film-making studio resigned as chairman on Friday a month after it was revealed John Carter cost the firm $200m.
Despite many media reports that indicate John Carter is the reason for the resignation the 15-year Disney veteran made no reference to the movie in his resignation statement, while Disney overall boss Bob Iger paid tribute to Ross's "business acumen and personal integrity."
Ross, 50, said in a memo to staff that he no longer believed his role as chairman of Walt Disney Studios was "the right professional fit."
Ross's resignation is effective immediately. The Walt Disney Co. did not name a successor.
