PTS Taiwan purchase Pro-Bel equipment

Chyron Corporation have announced that Public Television Service Foundation (PTS), Taiwan, have purchased Pro-Bel equipment as part of the upgrade from analogue to digital.
Chyron Asia managed the sale via distributor Ideal Systems, who were responsible for the installation and commissioning. Going on-air mid July, the system will initially compliment the existing infrastructure and will be part of the future expansion of additional channels.
Installing a Freeway 64 SDI equipped 64x64, together with an Aurora control system and various panels, the system will be used for the playout channel of PTS, gradually replacing the existing analogue router.
PTS have said that they are converting to Pro-Bel equipment for reliability and control redundancy. The company were also impressed with the easy-to-use interfaces to the legacy equipment - the existing Louth automation system especially.
Ross Duncan, Project Manager, Ideal Systems Asia Pacific, Hong Kong, said: "This is the first Pro-Bel system we have sold to PTS. Our local office in Taiwan will support this product and it is highly possible that PTS will purchase another unit next year."
