HHB Focusses On Loudness At BVE London

Broadcast audio technology specialists HHB Communications exhibited the latest pro audio loudness products for OB, live production, post production, playout and archive during the BVE London show at Earls Court 2.
Loudness metering and monitoring tools have become an essential part of the equipment used by professionals involved in program production and delivery. As such, HHB offers the best tools for loudness metering and monitoring, and BVE served as a platform for demonstrations of the latest hardware and software products.
Loudness tools for OB and live production were represented by both rackmount and standalone metering/measurement systems from TC Electronic, including the LM2 and TM9 TouchMonitor loudness meters. Dolby’s DP568 and TC Electronic’s DB4MKII were also on show to demonstrate the latest developments in multichannel measurement, correction and conversion technology. Post production plugins for Pro Tools and other DAWs from Dolby, Nugen and TC were also on show, in addition to archive products including the Dolby DP600 Program Optimizer, which provides multi format file-based batch processing. With expertise on these and other technologies from DK Technologies, Jünger, Minnetonka, RTW and Wohler, HHB’s product specialists are on hand throughout the show to discuss the best in loudness technology.
HHB’s Director of Sales Martin O’Donnell states: "As loudness begins to play a more critical role in the everyday lives of audio professionals, BVE London is the perfect annual UK meeting point to discuss loudness and the latest challenges affecting our customers. HHB offers several new ground-breaking loudness products and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to show BVE visitors the latest that we have to show."
Ole Jensen, TC Electronic’s VP of International Sales – HD, stated: "Legislation in the UK and around the world is a striking indication of how serious the issue of loudness has become for audio professionals involved in digital TV and multi-platform broadcast. TC has been at the forefront of this field and our Radar Loudness Meters represent a huge step away from simply measuring peak level to measuring perceived loudness. We are very excited to show visitors to BVE how these technologies can benefit them."
HHB was also a proud sponsor of the show’s popular Audio Room, where industry leading audio and broadcast professionals hosted seminars on the latest industry topics. Esben Skovenburg from TC Electronic’s R&D Department hosted a seminar titled “Loudness Authority”.
