John Hurt Gets Bafta Contribution Award‎

It has been revealed that a veteran British actor is to be honoured with a BAFTA for outstanding contribution to British Film.
The Elephant Man, John Hurt, who is best known for his roles in the Elephant Man, Midnight Express, Alien and more recently Harry Potter and Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy will receive his award at the BAFTAs on February 12.
Kenneth Branagh, The Harry Potter series of films and Derek Jarman are amongst the previous recipients to receive the award.
The 72-year-old actor said that he knew that film meant a great deal to him but had no idea that he meant so much to film.
"I feel very honoured," said Hurt.
