Ecstasy At Glasgow Film's Festival Debut

A film adaptation based on a book written by the author of Trainspotting is set for its UK debut during the Glasgow Film Festival in February.
Scottish author Irvine Welsh's book Ecstasy was the main inspiration for the film and follows on from the indie-movie success story, Trainspotting, in 1996.
The film will feature a wealth of British talent including Lord of the Rings' Billy Boyd but Danny Boyle will not be on board for this movie as Canadian director and producer Rob Heydon takes the helm.
Over 200 films will be shown during the ten-day event and other highlights for UK talent include The Decoy Bride starring David Tennant, and Emily Blunt's Your Sister's Sister.
The latter, which will open the festival, is directed by Lynn Shelton.
Shelton was recently named as one of the top 10 directors to watch this year, in a poll by trade newspaper Variety.
