Wise Buddah Secures German Radio Contract

Suppliers of original music for Radio, TV and Film,Wise Buddah, have secured a new contract, which will see them working with one of Germany’s largest commercial radio brands and continue their success in Europe.
The UK-based company's Jingles & Music Imaging division has won a contract to re-image radio brand Antenne Bayern.
The latest in a line of European successes for Wise Buddah the Antenne Bayern agreement will see new show openers and themes created for the station's Breakfast Show and its Weekend and Drive time programmes in 2012.
A second phase, due to air in March 2012, will see Wise Buddah complete the package with Transition IDs, more show themes and new Information elements.
In total, 35 pieces of music will be composed with work being sung using a mixture of both British and German singers.
Antenne Bayern's Head of Production Stephan Schöpf, who is overseeing the project, said: "As a musician myself I know that producing "real" sounding jingles is a challenge. Fortunately, in Wise Buddah, we have found a partner that is
able to provide just that. The sound of the Wise Buddah jingles is very warm and emotional but, at the same time, they sound extremely modern. It gives us the best of both worlds."
Wise Buddah J&MI Director Paul Plant added: "We were very excited to be
asked to pitch for this iconic German radio brand, and thrilled when we were chosen to create the new imaging. Antenne Bayern is the sound of Bayern and it is fantastic to be working with them"
Founded in 1988, Antenne Bayern plays a mixture of rock and pop hits from the 1980s and 1990s. According to media audience figures for July 2011, the station has an average of 899,000 listeners per hour making it the most listened to commercial radio station in Germany.
Antenne Bayern is the latest in a long line of European successes for Wise Buddah Jingles & Music Imaging. Other European jingle packages have recently been completed for Antenne 1 - Stuttgart (Germany), Skala FM (Denmark), Best FM (Slovakia) and SKY Radio (Holland).
New packages for Mega Hits (Portugal) and NRK (Norway) are currently in production and, closer to home, Wise Buddah Jingles & Music Imaging has recently completed a new custom package for GEM 106 in the East Midlands.
