TMD And Pixel Power Partner To Provide Complete Management And Playout Chain

The highly regarded creator of media management solutions and a supplier of broadcast graphics systems announced at IBC a partnership to bring together the combined powers of the new ChannelMaster technology.
The product was launched by Pixel Power at this year's IBC, with TMD's Mediaflex product suite.
TMD's Mediaflex is a full content preparation, workflow and MAM system that enables broadcasters to manage the lifecycle of media content, including ingest, digitisation, repurposing, enrichment, delivery, publishing and archiving. It enables users to easily search for,
retrieve, browse and catalogue media content in multiple formats.
Tony Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of TMD, said: "We are very excited about the possibilities that can be opened up for broadcasters with this partnership. Combining the innovative technology of both organisations will enable the global broadcast and media sectors to realise immense benefits. The integrated solution is built on IT standards further reducing implementation costs, as well as providing operational efficiency along with the guarantee of a consistent brand identity across all distribution platforms."
MediaFlex is being integrated with Gallium, Pixel Power's scheduling and playout automation system that can be used to control ChannelMaster.
This provides broadcasters with a complete content management and workflow system, dynamically linked to handle last-minute schedule changes.
James Gilbert, Joint Managing Director, Pixel Power, said: "This is about providing broadcasters with a tightly integrated content management and playout workflow that delivers the best-of-breed benefits of a traditional transmission chain without the associated expense and complexity. We genuinely believe that we are seeing a new era of integrated management and playout from two of the industry's most technically authoritative companies."
ChannelMaster is a fully integrated playout solution - often referred to as channel-in-a-box - that frees broadcasters from the compromises that currently define the sector. ChannelMaster provides all the functionality to deliver a channel to air but with playout capabilities that reach far beyond what is currently possible: live content is easily handled alongside the provision of high-end graphics including real-time 3D, multichannel clips with alpha and unlimited layers.
