Broadpeak Chosen To Provide Video Streaming Solutions

An entity of Neo Telecoms, France's second-largest IP operator, has chosen Broadpeak solutions to provide video streaming as part of its suite of network infrastructure services that includes network, optical fiber, data center, and cloud computing platforms.
The new solution offers high-speed and secured media file transport, data hosting, transcoding, SaaS-mode editing solutions, HPC calculation/render farm, and multiplatform adaptive streaming.
OPEXMedia's decision to deploy Broadpeak's video streaming solutions within its infrastructure is triggered by the demand for multiplatform broadcasting by its professional audiovisual clients. Users can now benefit from an efficient, on-demand tool that enables easy streaming of video content to a range of devices including TVs, PCs, tablet PCs, and the iPhone. The broadband adapts itself automatically to the available bandwidth following the broadcast device. Additionally, DRM support and centralised management of distant servers ensure that the content provider retains full control over the entire process.
Broadpeak's solution also adapts perfectly to a cloud computing system, allowing for a centralised and dynamic administration of content. This represents a true advantage for network managers, since content can be repartitioned by geographical zone and by following the popularity of the content in a particular zone. The content is then automatically and swiftly pushed toward the server that is closest to the user, as well as to storage, depending on the volume of the requested content. This process optimises the loading of the network and diminishes the constraints resulting from bandwidth restrictions.
