'May The Best Bride Win', Says Sky

Sky Living HD has commissioned a new wedding series 'guaranteed' to cause a stir - Double Wedding.
Double Wedding will give sixteen brides the opportunity to have the wedding of their dreams.
The only hitch is, they have to share their special day with a complete stranger.
Each week viewers will see two completely different brides go head-to-head, in a bid to make their dream day come true. Together they are given a budget to share and must agree on every minute element of how to spend it.
From the food to the flowers, the cake to the bridesmaids, dressing the venue to the all-important dress, each bride must approve every decision, or risk a disastrous big day.
The 'bridezillas' featured in each episode have strong, yet opposing visions about their perfect day; and as the girls struggle with the art of compromise, viewers will have a ringside seat to the tiara-topped tantrums that threaten to crush their dream day.
The series is produced by leading UK indie, Dragonfly TV.
Kicking off the series are two very different brides, Cadi and Kathryn.
Cadi's dreamt of having a wedding day fit for a princess since she was little girl; her dream dress is a meringue and she wants her beloved pet Chihuahua to be the flower girl. Anything plain or small just won’t do! Kathryn on the other hand, describes herself as being loud and brash.
She wants a traditional Scottish wedding in honour of her husband-to-be – that means men in kilts, bagpipes, highland games and Scottish dancing. Kathryn isn't afraid to put up a fight to get what she wants.
The question is will either of these brides be willing to compromise or will it be wedding warfare?
Mark Sammon, Head of Factual Entertainment at Sky Entertainment, said: "Double Wedding will be joining an already packed autumn schedule and is part of Sky's commitment to bolster original content across its entertainment channels.
"The series focuses on the rollercoaster emotions experienced by the two very different brides as together they decide on the dress, the flowers, the reception. But if they can’t come to a compromise, there won’t be a wedding. So sit back and prepare to watch the sparks fly."
Sarah Swingler, Executive Producer for Dragonfly TV, added: "As a production team we have been fortunate to find brides-to-be who are all unbelievably good sports. Though they come from a variety of contrasting backgrounds and hold differing views on what constitutes an ideal wedding, they have to share a common goal in the day itself and how they reach this makes un-missable TV.
"We are delighted to be bringing Double Wedding to Sky Living as Dragonfly's first commission for the channel."
Double Wedding was commissioned by Mark Sammon, Head of Factual Entertainment, Sky Entertainment and builds on the success of Sky Living's other wedding format Four Weddings.
"The series will be executive produced by Sarah Swingler, Dragonfly TV and Sadia Butt for Sky Living. It is also available in standard definition," she explained.
