New media show to be held in Cardiff
Cardiff may become home to a large new annual exhibition and conference for the media production industry.
Branded The Media Show, it will be the biggest out-of-London trade show covering television, film, video and new media production.
The organisers, Cardiff-based marketing and PR company Genesis Media Group, would like Cardiff to be the long-term venue if the first show is a success and if enough local support is established.
The first show will be held this October when thousands of TV, film and new media professionals from all over the UK are expected to descend on Cardiff for the first time.
The two-day event will be based in the old Cardiff City Hall which has been turned into an upmarket exhibition and conference centre.
Genesis already run a similar show in England which will be transferred to Cardiff as part of The Media Show.
