VISLINK To Showcase Advent NewsLite At CABSAT

VISLINK has announced that it will showcase Advent NewsLite at CABSAT 2011.
Advent NewsLite is a portable, IP-enabled SatCom terminal designed for use with current and new lightweight antenna systems.
This modular solution combines the performance of high bandwidth broadcast contribution feeds with the flexibility of BGAN type newsgathering.
NewsLite includes the latest enhancements to VISLINK's Advanced Mobile Gateway functionality to enable high speed internet access and two-way office network extension into the field; while IP-over-ASI means more bandwidth efficient file transfer over satellite.
The unit has been designed to be highly configurable meaning that customers can specify the system to meet their needs and are not restricted by a one-size-fits-all product giving the broadcasters a choice of traditional satellite capability with the addition of Wi-Fi and 3G/4G connectivity, MPEG2 and H.264 SD/HD encoding and decoding and the ability to add a wireless camera receiver into the mix.
NewsLite's ergonomic design is IATA weight compliant for airport baggage handling and its modular electronics support a broad range of satellite antennas. The system on display at CABSAT will introduce a cost effective "two box" sub 23 kg solution per box when combined with the 1m Advent Mantis antenna.
Also on display at the show will be a range of equipment from VISLINK's ADVENT, LINK and MRC brands including the LINK L1500HD camera system, ADVENT MPEG-4 encoders and decoders and MRC's IP enabled gateway products and point to point microwave systems.
