Take 2 Scales Up Its Lighting Rental Arm

Independent motion picture and digital camera equipment supplier Take 2 Film Services has announced that it has acquired £400,000 worth of lighting equipment from Elstree Light and Power (ELP) through leading media and broadcast finance company Azule Finance.
The acquisition has seen Take 2 Lighting increase its share of the rental market offering its customers a complete production solution from cameras to grip and lighting, fulfilling the requirements of a broad range of programmes.
Take 2 Lighting has provided solutions for a number of high profile broadcast productions such as Lewis, New Tricks and Midsomer Murders, acquired the assets from ELP to scale up it operations and boost the lighting division of their business.
The rental company already has a number of lighting assets to complement its production portfolio, but needed to scale up its inventory to respond to increased demand for a complete production solution from its customer base.
In need of quick finance to take advantage of favourable market conditions, Take 2 turned to Azule whose specialist understanding of the media and broadcast industry meant that it was able to quickly secure finance for the deal. Azule's in-depth knowledge meant that it could value the assets quickly and accurately and was able to accommodate Take 2's need for swift finance.
Glyn Edridge, Managing Director of Take 2, commented: "By arranging finance quickly through Azule we were able to rapidly scale up our lighting inventory. The acquisition has enabled us to grow our lighting arm, Take 2 Lighting, and offer our customers a complete production solution in live production and cinematic environments."
Gavin Scott, Azule's Sales Director, said: "The current climate has meant that it is increasingly important for rental companies to respond to the needs of their customer base and diversify their service. Take 2 is leading the way in providing its customers with complete rental solutions."
