Baselight For Post-production In Budapest
FilmLight has announced that FotoKem has installed Baselight Eight and Baselight HD colour grading systems at its newly-built post-production facility in Budapest.
The systems will anchor two Digital Intermediate theatres with Baselight Eight used for 2K/4K grading of conventional and stereoscopic films.
Baselight HD will be used for non-linear grading of commercial and television projects. Additionally, FilmLight's Truelight technology will be used for colour management throughout FotoKem's new facility.
FotoKem Budapest is located on the 52-acre Raleigh Studios lot and is the result of a strategic alliance between FotoKem, Raleigh Studios and Origo Film Group. In addition to colour grading, the facility provides film laboratory, digital processing, visual-effects production and editorial-finishing services.
The facility is tied directly to FotoKem’s flagship operations in Los Angeles and aims to service projects produced on the Raleigh Studios lot as well as those originating elsewhere in Europe, the United States and around the globe.
FotoKem selected the Baselight systems for their versatility and the ease with which they can be integrated into the facility’s file-based workflow.
