IOV Exhibition Changes Name To ProVideo

In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the IOV has changed the name of its annual event to simply ProVideo and it will take place at the Ricoh Arena on October 13 and 14.
Visitors can now register online for free entry at: www.iov.com/provideo.
Apart from the trade exhibition side to the event, proVideo 2010 will also host a comprehensive range of seminars, workshops and presentations - covering a diverse collection of subjects ranging from the practical application of DSLRs within video production, how to produce top-end wedding day films - right through to what you need to know about underwater filming.
Kevin Cook, IOV Executive Administrator said: "This isn't merely a name change for the sake of change. ProVideo 2010 has been introduced for three very good reasons:
  • To emphasise that the event caters for more than just IOV members
  • To welcome the involvement of other related-industry trade associations
  • To focus the minds of our exhibitors, attendees, speakers and the press on what the event is really about - Professional Videography
Kevin added: "The networking aspect of this type of event is increasingly becoming more and more important. Online forums, industry websites and magazines simply can't substitute the benefits of face-to-face networking. ProVideo 2010 will foster, promote and cater for delegate and exhibitor networking with a comfortable featured zone at the centre of the exhibition floor."
ProVideo will also provide the backdrop for this year's IOV Awards which will be held on October 13 in the Ricoh's Sky Creations Lounge. Details of categories, rules and deadlines are published on the IOV website at: www.iov.com/awards
