Sky Arts To Broadcast Camp Bestival
Sky Arts has acquired the rights to broadcast the television production of the multi award winning family festival Camp Bestival.
Produced by Whizz Kid Entertainment (WKE) in conjunction with executive producers for Camp Bestival, Ben Turner and Ziggy Gilsenan, it is set to air at 9pm, on 4th September on Sky Arts 1 HD.
The programme was filmed at the sold out festival's Lulworth Castle home in Dorset, and features stand out music performances and entertainment for all the family. The programme features live sets from Example, Tinie Tempah, Lee Scratch Perry, Ellie Goulding, Dan Le Sac Vs Scoobius Pip, George Clinton, The Cuban Brothers and Madness.
The one-off show is presented by Camp Bestival Curator Rob da Bank, with Camp Bestival host Miguel Mantovani (aka Mike Keat) from The Cuban Brothers, who offers a unique insight into the family festival spectacular, exploring the site to reveal a fantastic array of festival highlights.
Malcolm Gerrie, Chief Executive Officer, Whizz Kid Entertainment said: "I am delighted that we are now part of the ongoing success surrounding the Bestival brand and Sky Arts summer of festivals. From Lee Scratch Perry to Madness, George Clinton to Marc Almond, we've tried to capture some of the superb music and atmosphere which makes this event unique in what is a very crowded market."
Camp Bestival Curator, Rob da Bank, added: "It feels like Camp Bestival has found its natural home with Sky and Sky Arts, it reflects the fun and family nature of the show. Working with Malcolm Gerrie and Whizz Kid has been a great experience and we're very proud of the final show."
